This state of the art sports facility, located in the heart of the university’s campus was completed in 2006 by principal contractor Gilbert-Ash. Due to the complex nature of the superstructure and the exacting standards of finish that were required by architects Faulkner Browns, Mastercraft were the obvious choice to carry out the carpentry and joinery contract.


The company fitted the “Yunckers” beech sports floor to precise details with boards running radially and longitudinally to form a segmented “cake like” pattern.

The curved timber “A” frame external wall construction, which necessitated suspension from the superstructure and the radiused and tapered cedar cladding system, all required the Mastercraftman’s touch.
