Readers Park Ballyclare is the flagship development for the 'Westlands Project’, a long term vision which aims to build over 2000 homes in Ballyclare within the next 15-20 years. The scheme will also invest heavily in infrastructure and services to ensure the project can sustain the anticipated increase in population within the area and deliver additional capacity on the surrounding road network.

Mastercraft Construction was contracted by the developer, Holm NI, to undertake the construction of the first phase of Readers Park Development which consisted of 58 houses. This first phase included seven show homes known as "the show village" where potential buyers could view the different house types and finishes available.

The housing development is inspired by the Victorian architecture prevalent in Ballyclare and also combines contemporary features to create spacious family homes with timeless quality. Materials of the highest quality have been used to create both traditional and contemporary styles enhancing the village concept. A range of sizes of houses have been built and are finished externally in either facing brick or self-coloured render. The experienced Mastercraft team has been able to produce an outstanding finish throughout the development whilst working to the demanding time frame and site specific specifications.

Mastercraft Construction has won a CEF Construction Excellence Award for its work on the prestigious Readers Park Development in Ballyclare. Mastercraft beat off stiff competition from Patton Homes and Hagan Homes to win the 'Greenfield Housing Category' at the 2011 awards.
