Mastercraft Construction has won a CEF Construction Excellence Award for its work on the prestigious Readers Park Development in Ballyclare. Mastercraft beat off stiff competition from Patton Homes and Hagan Homes to win the 'Greenfield Housing Category' at the 2011 awards.

The gala evening announcing the winners, which was held on 6th October at the Culloden Hotel and Spa, was attended by over 400 guests including the newly appointed Head of Northern Ireland Civil Service, Dr Malcom McKibben, who was guest of honour.

The awards, which are now in their 12th year, have become the highlight of the construction calendar and showcase the best the construction industry in Northern Ireland has to offer. With 14 different award categories
, the broad array of awards demonstrates the vast social, economic and environmental benefits that are produced through high quality construction.

Speaking at the gala evening, where he accepted the award on behalf of the Readers Park team, Director Dermot McCloskey said " I am pleased that the hard work and dedication given by the workforce has been acknowledged by the judges here tonight. This award recognises the exceptional quality that Mastercraft have produced at Readers Park and epitomises the company’s approach to all its projects".
