On Saturday 6th November Mastercraft entered a team in a “Tractor Pull” event organised by Gelvin Farmers Group. The event was organised to raise funds for the “Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal" on behalf of Stephen Ferris. The Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal is an appeal launched in June this year to raise funds to purchase and put in place a MRI Scanner in the Royal Hospital For Sick Children in Belfast. This Children’s Hospital is currently the only Children’s Hospital in the UK that does not have their own MRI scanner - a vital piece of equipment in any hospital.

The charity was brought to the attention of Mastercraft when one of their Administration Team’s nephew, Stephen Ferris, had a cancerous brain tumour removed in the Royal Hospital For Sick Children. During this time Stephen required MRI Scans and to enable him to get these scans he had to be taken from the Children's Hospital and transported to the Royal Hospital.

The event involved pulling a tractor along a seven mile route through the Sperrin Mountains countryside, around the Legavallon Pot area, in a relay fashion. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very favourable but twenty three teams persevered and got the tractor around the route and raised in excess of £18,500 towards the appeal.

Mastercraft would like to thank everyone in their team, all those who sponsored them for this event and anyone who helped in any way to make this such a successful fundraiser.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
