2000+ New homes for BallyclareMastercraft commence work on new housing development on behalf of KPL Developments on a green field site in Ballyclare.

Work began on the ambitious £400 million project on 24 May 2010. The project located on a green field site on the Rashee Road, Ballyclare, Co Antrim is just 10 minutes walk from Ballyclare town square. Mastercraft are initially building thirty-three houses to form Phase 1A of the development as KPL Contracts are working concurrently on the construction of a relief road as part of the infrastructure for the development. The new 3km carriageway will bypass Ballyclare Rugby Club’s grounds and the site of the proposed new Ballyclare Primary School allowing traffic to avoid Ballyclare town centre making it more convenient for commuters travelling to Belfast, Larne and Antrim.

The plan for the entire development is to construct in excess of 2000 houses, shops and a community centre in an ideal location. The first seven of the houses in Phase 1A will comprise a ‘show village’ which is on schedule to open in October 2010. This show village includes a variation of detached and semi-detached dwellings ranging in size from 1,500ft2 to 2,500ft2. The housing development will include a range of sizes of houses and are finished externally in either facing brick or self-coloured render. They will be traditional in style and yet incorporating the very latest in modern materials.

Having an experienced project team in place Mastercraft have successfully completed other housing projects in Antrim, Saintfield and elsewhere and now are continuing their success with the building of these high quality, well finished homes in Ballyclare.
